The software Java is one of the prefered victim for attackers, which keep exploting its bugs to launch their attacks against the computers of the users. This has brought many system administrators to remove the execution of Java from the web browsers, leaving its activation to the will of the user.

It’s easier than you imagine, so let’s not waste time and take a look at how it’s done.
If you want to know how to enable Java and you’re using Internet Explorer, the first step you need to take is click on the gear button on the top-right and then choose the voice Internet Option from the menu that appears.
Select then the Security tab and click on Custom Level. Scroll down untill you find the voice Scripting of Java applets and check its Enable radio button. Click Ok to save the preferences and you can start using Java on Internet Explorer.
If you want to enable java on Google Chrome, click on the Menu button (top-right) and from the list select Settings. In the page that opens, click on Show advanced settings and finally click on Content settings.
Now, scroll down untill you find the voice “Disable individual plug-ins…” and click on it. On the list that appears, scroll down to Java(TM) and click on the button Enable. Now go back to the list and under the voice plugin select Run Automatically (recommended).
Also Mozilla Firefox allows to enable Java in a matter of clicks. Just click on the Orange button Firefox (top-left) and then select the voice Add-ons.
From the window that opens, select Plugins on the left menu and then look for the voice Java (TM) Platform, click Enable to activate it.
