You have a lot of music videos stored on your computer, you would like to convert them into audio tracks to transfer onto your smartphone but you don’t know what programs to use? Then let me tell you, you are in the right place at the right time, and I don’t want to hear excuses like you are not good with computers.
Today I’ll teach you how to convert a video in MP3 using some free programs that are so easy and intuitive to use that even a baby could handle them. So, let’s not lose time! Make a list of all the videos from which you want to extract the audio and let’s get started.
If you want to find out how to convert a video in MP3 in an extremly easy and fast way, the first program I suggest you to use is Freemake Video Converter, which allows you to freely convert the main video formats among them, download videos from YouTube and extract the audio tracks saving them as MP3. To download it on your PC, visit its official Internet Website and click on the green item Download.
Once the download is complete, double click on the file FreemakeVideoConverterSetup.exe and, in the window that opens, first click on Run then on Yes, OK and Next. Check then the second voice for a Custom Setup and uncheck all the items below it (to avoid the installation of additional toolbars for your browser) and end the setup by simply always clicking on Next, then on Install and Finish. Uncheck all the options during the process and always choose “custom installation” to avoid to get unnecessary promotional softwares installed on your computer.
Once the installation has finished, you can easly convert a video into an audio MP3 file clicking on the button +Video located on the top-left and selecting the video from which you want to extract the audio. Afterwards, click on the arrow located on the bottom-right and click on the button In MP3, select then the quality of the audio track from the drop-down menu Profiles and click on the button Convert to start the conversion. As default setting, Freemake saves all the extracted audio tracks in the same folder of the original videos, although you can choose a different folder clicking on […].
Another program that allows to convert a video in MP3 is VirtualDubMod, an edited version of the video editing program VirtualDub that lets you extract audio tracks from AVI, MPG and MKV format files. To download it on your PC, visit this page of the website SourceForge and click on the link VirtualDubMod_1_5_10_2_All_inclusive.zip.
Once done, click on the archive just downloaded and extract its content into any folder. Run then the program VirtualDubMod.exe and click first on OK then on Start VirtualDubMod to accede the main window of the software. Afterwards, select the item Open video file from the menu File and select the video from which you want to extract the audio, you can select more than one at the time.
After you’ve uploaded the video, select the voice Stream list from the menu Streams, click then on the audio track to extract (eg AVI audio stream 1) and click on the button Demux to choose the folder into which you will save the mp3 file extracted from the selecte video/s. It will be fast. It is easy, isn’t it?
